Mary Elizabeth Johnson, LMSW
Your Idaho Falls Therapist
Elizabeth believes in the resiliency of individuals and families, and in their capacity for growth when they are empowered. Elizabeth considers Interpersonal Neurobiology, the product of the relationship between the body, mind, and relationships, to be the foundation of explaining human development and functioning. Elizabeth practices with a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that many behaviors and responses are ways of adapting to and coping with past traumatic experiences.
Elizabeth has experience working with children and teens, and their families, as well as individual adults, to identify problem areas, to gain skills to improve emotional regulation and communication, and to process current and past hurts. Elizabeth utilizes an integrated holistic approach, including EMDR therapy, tailored to each client, to ensure their needs are addressed and a sense of safety is established.
